Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALLACE THERMOND MCLEOD Peacefully, on Sunday, January 16, 2005, at his residence, Wallace Thermond McLeod, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 90 years. Wally was predeceased by his parents James and Margaret, as well as by 15 siblings. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory his beloved wife Elsie of 62 years; son Dennis (Donna); daughter Donna (Clarence) Chapko; grandchildren, Jody, Shelby (Bruce Kent), Carey and Kristen. He is also survived by sister Eva Andrews; brother Clyde; sisters-in-law, Vera (Jack) Bracken and Frances McLeod; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Wally was born on November 7, 1914, in Oak Bank, MB. He worked for Canadian Pacific Railway for a short time. Then he was employed by Springfield Motors as a mechanic for 14 years. Following that he worked for the R.M. of Springfield as assistant Secretary-Treasurer for 22 years. Wally was a very active member of the Oak Bank Community. Throughout his life he was involved in, or associated with the Oak Bank Credit Union, Oak Bank United Church, Oak Bank Community Club, the Sunnyside School Board which later became Oak Bank Consolidated School District, the Springfield Braves Baseball Association, and the Springfield Volunteer Fire Department. Wally retired in 1979 at the age of 65 years. He spent his retirement years travelling, playing cards, curling and gardening. He cherished time spent with family especially his grandchildren who were always around. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Bank United Church, Oak Bank, MB, with Rev. Dawn Ballantine-Dickson officiating. Reception will follow at Kin Place. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so wish memorial donations may be made to Kin Place Personal Care Home, Oak Bank. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.

We were very sorry to read of Wally's passing. We have many fond memories of times spent in your home which was always so welcoming. He was a fine man and we're sure that the difficullt times ahead will be made a bit easier as you remember all the wonderful times you shared together.
